Abu Dhabi: Government sector employees will get a 10-day holiday starting December 2 on the occasions of the National Day and Eid Al Adha.
"National Day and Eid Al Adha for Ministries and federal departments starts from Tuesday, December 2, until Thursday, December 11," according to a statement by the Civil Service Council. |

Abu Dhabi: The private sector will get a one-day holiday on Tuesday, December 2, on the occasion of 37th UAE National Day.
Saqr Gobash, Minister of Labour, issued a circular to this effect to concerned authorities.
He congratulated President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates on the occasion. |

The future of Dubai and UAE real estate will be more successful and solid than in previous years, due to lessons learned during the economic crash.
Both developers and property analysts are keen to reassure investors that while days seem dark right now, next year will be bright.
Many see last year's soaring prices and astronomical profits as symptoms of an immature market dominated by speculators chasing short-term gains.
"Despite the excitement they generate, sky-high profits are both unsustainable and unhealthy. Ultimately, they create unrealistic expectations about future performance, especially because high prices hurt demand," Cliff Kelaita, chief executive officer and chairman of Landmark Properties, said in a memo to his clients. |

Nakheel last month also announced its tallest tower which will be larger than the current tower in Dubai the Burj Dubai, standing at two thirds of a mile high once completed, concreting its status in the UAE property markets as the largest master developer.
However due to the current financial situation the world over, Nakheel has announced that it has laid off 15% of its total workforce, equivalent to 500 employees. The decision follows the scaling back of projects due to current market conditions.

In commemorate UAE's 37th National Day, Abu Dhabi's Emirates Palace is to host a world record breaking fireworks display on the 2nd December. The fireworks will begin at 20.30 Hrs, lasting for about 45 minutes and will be visible along the Abu Dhabi Corniche and across the Emirates Palace Marina.
